Stately Tudor Home In The Heart Of City Living
Originally a hunting lodge in the early 1900s, this home went through many additions over the years. The most recent owners lovingly renovated this stately Tudor Estate over a two-year period. They honored the Tudor architecture, but updated the home for the living style of the 2020’s.
The landscape design included a renovated driveway and parking courtyard, renovated Charles Gillette garden, new pool and pool house, as well as gracious terraces for exterior entertaining and all new landscaping. A new gate mimicking the Tudor style was added to the existing stone gate for privacy, plus a new parking courtyard was created to accommodate guest as well as new expanded gracious bluestone front walk .
The original Charles Gillette garden had become overgrown and tired. We honored the parterre style, but added a bluestone patio in the center and simplified the garden.
